Some people like to solder their brass models, but most Severn Models kits are designed with glue tabs, to allow assembly with glue too.

Most kit testing work is done with super glue - the instant stick on a wide range of surfaces makes it indespensible in the workshop.

Tip : low and medium viscosity super glues are excellent at 'capillary glueing'. Always sand the surfaces of your joint to roughen them, assemble and hold with clamping tweezers. Then apply a few drops of glue to the join with a sharpened cocktail stick. The glue capillaries into the join giving a neatly aligned result.  (note this doesnt work with thicker or 'gel' super glues).
